O site é sobre técnicas para se contar histórias na internet. Acontece que, sem querer, acabou explicando o que a Web precisa fazer para se tornar efetivamente um meio de comunicação:
Establishment of a vocabulary. The confusion surrounding terms used to discuss online content detracts from useful analysis and comparison. Ask three different people what "interactivity" is and you will get three different definitions. So, too, with the terms multimedia, hypertext, and non-linear.
Analysis of current practices. In order to discover if there has been movement towards the creation of new and unique content, baseline measures of current practices must be developed. Baseline measures indicating to what degree and in what situations content developers are currently creating and using new forms.
Measurement of effects. There has been much speculation but little measurement of the effect various online content forms have on users. Our goal is to help create new understandings of which conditions make the most sense to use when you are trying to inform, entertain, influence, or engage an audience.
